An app-controlled animative backpack from Pix allows wearers to show off their personal style and communicate, all at once.
“Everyone uses a backpack, and everyone has their own unique style,” says Sergii Iezdin, Co-founder of Pix.
“With society’s focus on self-expression, technology and high-performance, we jumped on the idea of combining these factors. We’re excited to help people unleash their creativity in the backpack industry because nothing else is as customisable as Pix.”
Using a smartphone, users can set their mood, using a full-colour screen built into the shell.
The animative backpack comes in four base colours: grey, yellow, purple or blue. The backpack’s appearance is quickly and easily controlled via a Bluetooth connection. With a library full of pictures, animations, widgets and games for users to choose from, the backpack can display things like weather, social media notifications, cyclist turning signals, time and date, Tetris games and more. In addition to the unlimited content provided, wearers can create their own designs.
Pix is compatible with any 2A output and USB Type-A power bank. A 20,000mAh power bank, which will power Pix for about 12 hours, is available as an accessory.
Besides its visual impact, Pix is a trendy, functional backpack, ideal for daily commutes, adventuring or walking around a campus. Its durable design is water resistant and shock resistant and it has several separate compartments with room for a laptop, tablet and other belongings.
Pix, the animative backpack, is available for preorder on Kickstarter for US$199.
