American millennials are embracing fruit-flavoured gins – so Bacardi has become the first major brand to launch a pink gin nationwide.
The Bosford Rose Premium Gin & Strawberry Liqueur contains the same botanical ingredients found in the original Bosford gin recipe: juniper, coriander, angelica, lemon and orange peel, which are then blended with strawberry and raspberry flavours and sugar.
Bacardi says the fruit flavors softens the slightly bitter taste often associated with gin, giving it a “light sweetness”.
Lisa Pfenning, global VP, Acceleration Brands at Bacardi, said: “Bosford Rose is a sophisticated and light-hearted spirits brand, which boasts a fruity, balanced flavour, designed to thrill the palate of today’s sophisticated consumer who likes to explore new and interesting flavours.
“Following its successful launches in Spain and France, we are excited to introduce Bosford Rose to the US cocktail scene and are confident it will make a colourful splash at any summer soirée and beyond.”
Bosford Rose will be available nationwide from US liquor stores with a suggested retail price of US$14.99 per 750ml bottle.
