Dutch homewares design specialist Brabantia has launched a new design household kitchen tidy which it believes will “redefine our perceptions of bin design”.
The new Bo Touch Brabantia Bin comes in a eight colours – but most significantly stands on four legs, styled to merge with all the other furniture in a house or office – instead of being hidden out of sight in a cupboard.
Its secret is simple: it doesn’t look like a rubbish bin!
The new Brabantia bin was conceived in The Netherlands and is manufactured in its factory in Belgium. It is made from 40 per cent high-grade recycled materials and comes with a 10 year guarantee.
Created as a conventional waste bin, there is also a model offering three internal compartments for sorting waste.
Romke Swinkels, director of marketing and innovation says that with its unique design, contemporary colours, and focus on sustainability, the new Bo Touch Bin is “spot on trend”.
“It is the future of waste management.”
Bo Touch Bin has just been launched in the UK, where it is available at Brabantia.com and from John Lewis, among other retailers, including high street department stores, superstores and independent kitchen and homeware specialists. Pricing starts at £149.
