Scandinavian sneaker brand ARKK Copenhagen says its new Raven Mesh Velvet S-E15 sneakers were inspired by Cyndi Lauper’s famous song Girls Just Want To Have Fun.
The limited edition white shoes with pink laces and trim (also available in soft rose) show off the brand’s more feminine side.
“The Raven Mesh Velvet achieves a new level of feminine form and function,” the company says in its release notes. “Smooth neoprene material marries tempting mesh details around the toe-caps and heels for a sleek and sexy Nordic inspired look. Luxe velvet lacing elicits the fun and flirty statement of this style.”
ARKK Copenhagen traditionally delivers unisex styles for men and women, which is why this clearly feminine footwear stands out.
“It’s all about the small, feminine details,” adds Mette Englebrecht, head of design with ARKK Copenhagen.
Signature ARKK detailing on the heel tab, tongue, side panels, lace tips, and insoles add a premium touch.
Kasper and Thomas, founders of ARKK Copenhagen, add: “The Raven Mesh Velvet reminds women that it’s okay to have a little fun. “
Launched on April 11, the Raven Mesh Velvet S-E15 kicks off ARKK Copenhagen’s pre-fall ‘18 First Lights Collection.
The shoes are available online at ArkkCopenhagen.com and through stockists in 34 countries. They retail for US$120 or €110.
