You can take your hat off to these guys! Royole Corporation has launched the world’s first high-definition Flexible+ Wearables which allow you to broadcast video from your hat or your shirt.
Company founder and CEO Dr Bill Liu unveiled the Royole Flexible Shirt and Flexible Top Hat at the recent World Cup final in Moscow.
“We embedded our ground-breaking, ultra-thin fully flexible displays into a traditional, yet stylish, cotton shirt and top hat for a unique new way for companies or individuals to visually express their personal passions, politics, creativity, social awareness, and more,” Liu said.
“Individuals can select video content that showcases their personality and stream in real-time from their mobile phone, giving them unlimited portability and versatility.”
Liu hope businesses will buy up the shirts converting people into “the ultimate mobile advertising billboard to share their message in any public place”.
“Royole wearable expressions are guaranteed to attract attention.”
The Royole Flexible+ Wearables are powered by a portable external lithium battery. They support 3GP/MP4 videos and JPEG/GIF images. Large, fully flexible Amoled displays can be easily removed from the shirt or hat for laundry purposes, and Liu promises the clothes are comfortable to wear.
But they come at a price! A Flexible Shirt and Flexible Top Hat are each priced at US$899.99 a unit, or you buy buy a set for $1399.99.
Royole is accepting pre-orders on its website, for fulfilment in November this year. All the items are made to order.
