Fashion designer John Varvatos has continued his collaboration with actor and musician Nick Jonas to launch JV x NJ, a fragrance for men.
Launched under the JV x NJ label established by Jonas and Varvatos in January, the fragrance was unveiled during an evening event in New York City this week.
JV x NJ is described as “a dynamic, irresistible fragrance that captures the upbeat energy of the city as dusk settles and nightlife comes alive; a moment revealed through the eyes of one of the most iconic young musicians”.
Nick Jonas is a multi-platinum, Grammy- and Golden Globe-nominated recording artist, actor, and award-winning songwriter, who released his self-titled debut album in November 2014.
As an actor, Jonas played the lead role in Goat, appeared in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and has just completed filming of the post-apocalyptic thriller, Chaos Walking, scheduled for release next March.
“Working with John has been such an incredible experience,” said Nick Jonas. “His knowledge and passion for fragrance were eye-opening and infectious. We wanted to create something that not only spoke to us but also represents guys today who can do it all.”
The signature flask-styled bottle is painted with a custom pearlised midnight-blue lacquer to produce a classic, yet edgy finish. The gunmetal dog-tag and hex-nut cap engraved with JV x NJ adds a nod of rock-n’ roll, that is an aesthetic deeply rooted within the John Varvatos brand.
The JV x NJ fragrance is already on sale at John Varvatos stores and Nordstrom department stores, before being rolled out into other retail stores nationwide this fall. It is priced at US$74 for a 2.5oz bottle and $94 for 4.2oz.
