Recognising that as many as one in four millennials regularly eat breakfast at work or on the go, Nestle UK has launched Breakfast to Go range.
The ready-to-eat meal kit includes a choice of two cereals, shelf-stable milk and a spoon to eat it with after mixing. Nestle’s cereal division says it is the first packaged cereal and milk solution on the market in the UK.
It comes with two cereal options – Shreddies or Shredded Wheat Honey & Nut.
Nestle Cereals conducted research which showed 15 per cent of UK adults eat breakfast at work or on the go, rising to 24 per cent in the 25-34 age group and 21 per cent of those aged 35-44.
“With life getting busier and busier, time-poor Brits are racing to get out the door during the morning rush,” said Gharry Eccles, Nestle Cereals UK and Australia VP. “With breakfast being the most important meal of the day, we want to make their lives easier by providing a tasty, on-the-go breakfast cereal option.
“The Breakfast to Go products have everything you need to enjoy a bowl of one of your favourite cereals, anywhere, anytime. You can also add fruit and a glass of water, and you have a balanced and tasty breakfast.”
The range is on sale in supermarkets with a recommended retail price of £1.99.
