A board game modelled on an episode of Netflix’s Black Mirror goes on sale at Target US stores at the end of this month.
Nosedive is modelled on the highly-rated episode of the same name starring Bryce Dallas Howard. Players are challenged to create a “perfect” life by collecting Lifestyle Cards, while avoiding any “dings” to their social score.
Described as the world’s first-ever social board game, Nosedive was created by Endemol Shine North America in partnership with game publisher and distributor Asmodee North America.
Integrated with the free Nosedive smartphone app available for iOS and Android, the game includes more than 1000 unique experiences to impress players’ important friends and improve their social standing.
Nosedive features light social and strategic gameplay that Endemol Shine says is engaging, interactive and accessible for new players.
Designed for three to six players aged 13 and older, it will be sell on Target.com and in Target stores for $19.99.
Netflix’s Black Mirror is produced by House of Tomorrow, part of Endemol Shine Group. The series is created and written by Charlie Brooker, and is available on Netflix globally with a fifth season coming soon. The critically acclaimed anthology has won multiple awards including most recently four Emmy Awards for season four episode, USS Callister.
