Steven Lagos, founder of fine jewellery brand Lagos has created a collection of sterling silver 18K gold, and diamond bracelets designed for the Apple Watch, called the Smart Caviar.
Lagos introduces four distinct, luxe bracelets that founder and creative director Steven Lagos says easily enhance the Apple Watch and help transition the sporty look to a piece of fine jewellery. Unisex styles are available in sterling silver, two-tone featuring sterling silver and 18K gold, sterling silver with four diamond links and sterling silver with all diamond links.
The watches go on sale at Bloomingdale’s department store exclusively for 60 days before they are released in other stores after November 1.
“I’m a big fan of the Apple Watch and love the functionality. It is perfectly designed for the sporty lifestyle but something was missing – there was no fine jewellery element to it,” said Lagos, who explains his concept in this video:
“I really wanted to create a bracelet that would transform it from a casual watch to a jewellery watch.”
The Smart Caviar was designed for ease of wear as well as elegance, making it suitable for everyday wearing. The bracelets are engineered to slip easily in and out of the Apple Watch head and come with a sizing tool and extra links to ensure a comfortable fit.
Erica Russo, Bloomingdale’s VP and fashion director for accessories and beauty says the watch is the brand’s first fine-jewellery option the store has offered for smartwatches.
“We love the way luxury meets modern functionality. From sterling silver to gold and diamonds, there is truly something for everyone.”
Steven Lagos launched Lagos’ first Caviar collection more than 30 years ago. Since its inception, the brand has created bold jewellery rooted in integrity, intelligence and innovation. Smart Caviar is not approved, endorsed or affiliated with Apple, and the watch is sold separately.
