Instant photo printing is making a comeback and Fujifilm Instax has recruited Taylor Swift to help spread the word.
The country music star has designed a celebrity look for the cameras based on the graphics of her latest album.
Fujifilm’s Instax Square SQ6 Taylor Swift Edition and Instax Square Film Taylor Swift Edition revealed this week will go on sale on October 20. And Swift will display the cameras at dedicated booths during her current concert tour which finishes in Tokyo on November 21.
The Instax Square SQ6 Taylor Swift Edition features a gold-coloured newspaper pattern on a black base on the front. A metallic ring around the lens complements the gold design pattern, giving it a luxurious finish. The back of the camera bears Taylor Swift’s autograph. Each camera comes with a Taylor Swift original camera strap and film case.
Here is Taylor demonstrating the system:
Fujifilm’s Instax cameras first went on sale back in 1998 and the company says it has now shipped more than 30 million units globally.
But now the company says it plans to beef up its marketing of the Instax photo-printing system by launching Instax experience booths and digital promotion activities at concert venues and other events.
