Hong Kong startup OBX has crafted a sleek, stylish bag which transcends the work, travel and play purposes: the OBX Commuter Bag.
With a minimalist design, the bag comes with a 14” laptop sleeve, 10” tablet sleeve, a travel kit and a card holder. Each fits into a master bag, or you can detach each one and use it individually.
OBX is committed creating “a new generation of consumer goods to a worldwide marketplace” using deliberately modern, minimalist design approach which enables its customers to enjoy a simple, effortless and satisfying user experience.
The bag has gone live on Indiegogo this week, with a starting price of US$280, with the first items due to be shipped in January. It comes in two colours, for now: camel or navy blue.
Designed to be the perfect solution to the busy carry-all lifestyle, The OBX Commuter Bag is less formal and more versatile than a briefcase, with lightweight construction and ergonomic design for less bulk and greater comfort. The owner can adjust the handles and strap allowing it to be carried over the shoulder, worn across the body or used in hand as a tote.
The bag’s exterior is made of vegetable-tanned, quality leather, with zinc alloy handles, feet and hooks.
Cherry Man, sales and marketing manager with OBX, says the bag is not a concept, a design idea or a proposal: it is a fully realised and functional product which has been tested and proven already. With early units already produced, it was designed for efficient manufacture once it goes into mass production when the Indiegogo campaign has been successfully completed.
